Maybe I'm confused, but does Kurdistan have a parliament? I was under the impression parliament meant the parliament of Iraq.

The Kurds have a complete government and this has functioned very well over the years.

The article related to the Kurdish Parliament and their voting to form committees to further an agreement with the Iraqi Government on 140/142.

Amendment 140 & 142 are part of the package of 50 amendments to be introduced to the Iraqi Parliament on 15 June 07 (actually 17 June -as the 15th is their Sunday).

You are absolutely correct Crave! This whole article is talking about the Kurdish parliament. It's meaningless. We want the Iraqi Parliament to vote on this.

The article's header and the first paragraph tells us it's Kurdistan:

Parliament Kurdstan hosts Prime Minister and the Minister for areas outside the region to discuss the stages of the implementation of Article 140
    PUKmedia فؤاد عثمان/ اربيل: 22:32:10 2007-06-04PUKmedia Fouad Othman / Irbil : 22:32:10 2007-06-04

.In order to discuss the implementation stages of Article 140 of the Iraqi Constitution, Parliament held its Corstan 22 of the second session chaired by Mr. Adnan Mufti, the Speaker of Parliament and the presence of Messrs. Najirfan Barzani, head of the governmentof the territory, Dr. Kurdstan. Mohammed Ihsan, Minister for areas outside the Territory is a member of the Committee on the implementation of Article 140, where allocated meeting to discuss the stages of the implementation of Article 140 of the normalization of the situation in areas of Kirkuk and regions withheld from Kurdstan.

    1. Parliament Kurdstan
    2. PUKMedia: PUK stands for Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.
    3.
Mr. Adnan Mufti:Iraq: Kurds Comment On Regional Government Unification - RADIO FREE EUROPE / RADIO LIBERTY

Thanks for clarifying the article crave!

The debt has been relieved to everyones satisfaction. Everything that needs to be done is done therefore nothing more regarding debt relief will happen. Remember, it was vital that Iraq complete the debt relief before announcing an RV. Why? Countries would refuse to release the debt from Saddam's regime if they showed post RV assets.
