I don't do a hole lot of posting more reading then posting sorry.

The type of RV that most are expecting would transfer Iraq's wealth form
the GOI to the Iraqi people. Now a lop would be just the opposite forcing
the people of Iraq to give up their wealth to support the Dinar.

I don't feel like the Kurds would stand for it.

I remember reading your IMF phone call post. As I recall you reported the IMF wouldn't let Iraq lop.

Plus,

One major reason there will NOT be any lop [can't believe I took this hook again] is the CBI has more than enough cash reserves to buy up every last dinar in existence and like Knowles has said many times there are few countries on earth with this ability. Lops are for countries who can't afford to do this.

Hello everyone. So we seem to have a piece of insede information. It appears to have several parts:

That another batch of currency was printed after the original batch.

That the last batch was in smaller demons. So far soo good.

In their opinion, the purpose was to allow for a currency exchange replacing the higher denoms with lower ones.

The first two parts of this is good news. Inside info of an additional printing of lower denoms. Considering the disruptive effects, costs and confusion of a country-wide currency replacement, and IMHO the lact of any economic benefits of doing this, maybe someone could present just why this would help Iraqs gain purchasing power and "restore" the currency to the previous level?

You’ll notice that the idea of lifting three zeroes is associated with introducing new categories of dinar into circulation meaning lower denoms and not a lop of the currency. They will just retire larger denoms as as they make their way back to the CBI if they ever do make it back that is.

I think this is important because it is often mentioned but no one has ever been able to provide a link as evidence.
