It's about time we had a thread to celebrate the best sporting event in the world - the footie world cup! (For our US friends, by football we mean an actual round ball kicked with feet, and by world cup we mean a competition that other nations are actually allowed to play in, unlike the world series lol!).
Only kidding, last time round the US did very well, suprising everyone.
So far we have Germany beating Costa-Rica 4-2 and Ecuador beating Poland 2-0.
In 4 and a half hours we have the BIG ONE - the 1st England game. Can't wait!

Tip for anyone out there that can sign up with a betting exchange, back France and Spain to win with the intention of laying them off once they get to the last 8 which they should do.Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

Holland are indeed looking good. Argentina are looking the best. 6-0!
Angola did well to hold Mexico last night also.
Next week will be interesting, with Germany v Ecuador (who are playing very well) and England v Sweden (who we haven't actually beaten for a very long time) deciding the finishing order of the first two groups, and therefore the next round draws.
We really don't want to meet Germany in the 2nd round, but then again, if Ecuador beat them, would we really want Ecuador? Perhaps Germany would be better... but I'd still much rather meet Germany in the final.... might be a small matter of Argentina in the quarters and Brazil in the Semi's though...!

Where you moving to, Yogi? Malaysia?
Interesting results last night. Ghana beat the Czech Republic in a result that nobody could have guessed, and the USA held Italy to a draw. That group is still wide open.

Gotta love Thailand, Phuket is the best place on earth.
Back to World Cup news, Korea held France with a late equaliser, meaning Group G is going to be an intersting fight between France, Korea and Switzerland for the top 2 spots.
No intersting games today, really. Spain are playing and will win. Saudia Arabia will probably lose to Ukraine, providing they can pull it together better than they did against Spain.
The interesting stuff starts tommorow...
