    Default Rumor-Rumor On The Wall...

    Hi Friends!
This is strictly RUMOR- and since I couldn't find any rumor section for the dong I'm posting it here.
Supposedly, according to the rumor- and I'm sure I don't remember this completely, there is a "basket" of 11 currencies that are supposed to RV right after the IQD, and the dong is one of them. The rate anticipated for the dong after the RV was stated at 1 dong = 4 cents USD. IF this is true, that would be a handsome return on the dong. My gut feeling is- IF this is true, we will see the dong RV'd before Christmas.
I bought some a couple years ago and then sold them a few months later for almost what I paid for them and figured I got out just in time. Should the IQD RV first I just may get a couple million and wait and see...
    Blessings On YOU! AL

Is anyone around here? Hi. Does anyone know if Citibank is selling Dongs? I heard that there are three banks in Viet Nam that are going to be in charge of doing stocks and bonds, etc. for VN. They are Citibank, Barclays and Deusche Bank. Just wondering if anyone of them or all of them are selling Dongs. If anyone knows could you get back to me. Thanks. I tried calling Citibank here in NY but it is all an endless automated system, requiring one to put their acct. number or Social Security number. You never have the option of talking to a live person. All the branches are to far away from me. When I can get around again, I will have to go in person. I do not have an acct. there. Good luck to all. Nidya

I don't see any activity since February 2010.

Can anybody give an update as to where the dong stands for revaluing - and the Iraqi dinar for that matter?

    Default International currecy revalue pending

    Interesting,

With the official talk of over two dozen currencies being madated to revalue soon, and Iraq dinar included, something appears to be underway to coordinate a revalue of dozens of currencies at the same time, but I have not heard that Viet Nam dong is one of them, but I would expect it will be, it only makes sense given the disaster economic monetary system swings we have all seen, leading it is China, so where China revalues, so too will the others as I see it.

    Success to all, Mike

Anybody have any news or perspective on the Dong? Still a good investment or not?

With the Iraq Dinar going nowhere at this time, do you see any downside with buying more Dong?
