Thread: How to buy Dong in the UK

I visited the HSBC to enquire about sending a payment in dollars to America. They advised me that the cheapest method would cost me £21 (app $40).

I also asked if they could supply me with Iraqi dinars.......No!


Could someone please advise me as to the best way for someone in the UK to purchase dinar and dong.

I know Ali at Iraq dinars Dinar Trade has a agent in the UK. Visit his website provided and or, give him a call. His # are provided at the site. That is my only advise to you, unless others will respond too.

Hi Mariner,

I'm not familiar with the Dong, but up until a month or two ago you could purchase Dinar from Halifax Bank. If you had an account with them it was particlularyl easy. Or I understand you could just walk in and order them:

Halifax Online - UK Banks, Finance, Personal, Telephone & Internet Banking.

Or you could try Travelex who handle the orders for the Halifax Bank:

HSBC UK does it online. Here is the link. They charge £3.95 for delivery or you can pick it up from a branch.

Hi, I noticed that although the Vietnam Dong is listed the Iraqi Dinar is not.

I haven't purchased yet but, to me, the exchange rate looks great:-

today, 25th June, the exchange rate online for the Vietnamese Dong at HSBC is 28,194,480000 and 3,500,000 dong would cost £124.14 + £3.95 Delivery fee. Minimum order £100
